Camping Uit en Thuis
In 1956, Jan Kipping left The Hague with his family to take over the already existing campsite (since 1947) from the Flier family.
The campsite then was a forest with several cottages, canteen and a small farm at the front as reception. Water from the pump, separate boys' and girls' camps and suitcases in the luggage depot. The tent or caravan was placed where there was space. In winter, caravans could be placed in the canteen and guests came in person to pay the standing fee. Following the death of Jan Kipping, his son John and his sister Tineke and both their families (second generation) continued the campsite. Currently, already the third generation Stefan and Heidi Kipping run the campsite.
At our campsite, there is plenty of space for nature, which is why all our pitches are unique. From branch railings and insect hotels to birdhouses and bee meadows. We make every effort to (continue to) keep our campsite as natural as possible. Of course, we also try to combat and prevent certain inconveniences of nature as naturally as possible.
We are a small family-run business and we believe camping should remain "normal".
Camping in nature
At Uit en Thuis campsite, you will enjoy peace, space and greenery. The campsite is situated in the middle of a wooded area, surrounded by heathland, sand drifts and beautiful walking and cycling routes. On the site itself you will find tall trees, colourful vegetation and plenty of birds and small animals. Squirrels shoot through the branches, butterflies dance in the sunlight and in the evening you only hear the silence of nature. Here you really come to rest. Whether you are hiking, reading or just doing nothing, with us you camp in a natural environment that never ceases to surprise.
